 SOP-1: BROAD TREATMENT GUIDELINES
  1. Isolation home/ hospital
  2. Mask and helmet ( self and others)
  3. Social distancing ( 2 meters/ 6feet)
  4. UV light ( to be used with due precautions)
  5. Hybridized with 1% sodium hypochlorite, via spray technology
  6. Dexamethasone , 6 mg daily , divided into 3 doses after food , for 10 days. It should then be tapered off. If you have diabetes then you should follow your blood sugar levels closely.
  7. Azithromycin , 500mg , once a day , for 5 days.
  8. Hydroxychloroquine ( HCQ), 400 mg, once a day, for 5 days
  9. Ivermectin, 12 mg once a day, for 3 days , then on 7th day and 30th day.
  10. Vitamin C , 500 mg X 2 tablets once every morning
  11. Zinc, 50 mg, twice a day
  12. Paracetamol, 500 mg for fever, as required
  13. Kaalmegh kaadha, 15 ml, once daily, for 6 days
  14. Gelsimium 200, every 5th day
  15. AT tabs 2-4 tabs 2-4 times a day.

 SOP-2: MANAGEMENT OF CONTACTS AMONG INDIVIDUALS
Definition of contact
A contact is defined as a healthy person that has been in such association with an infected person or a contaminated environment as to have been exposed and is therefore at a higher risk of developing disease.
Duration of home quarantine
  1. The home quarantine period is for 14 days from the last ( latest) contact with a confirmed case.
  2. Those tested positive for COVID-19 but had no symptoms need to be quarantined for 14 days.

AT THE END OF HOME QUARANTINE, YOU NEED TO BE RE- TESTED AND GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR TREATING PHYSICIAN.
Instructions for contacts / asymptomatic being home
Quarantined, The home quarantined person should:
  1. Stay in a well-ventilated single-room preferably with an attached/separate toilet. If another family member needs to stay in the same room, it’s advisable to maintain a distance of at least 2 meters / 6 feet between the two. ( SOCIAL / SAFE DISTANCING )
  2. Needs to stay away from elderly people, pregnant women, children and persons with co-morbidities within the household.
  3. Restrict his/her movement within the house.
  4. Under no circumstances attend any social/religious gathering e.g. wedding, condolences, etc except through virtual reality mode. Ie. Through video conferencing.
  5. He should also follow the under mentioned public health measures at all times:
    • Wash hand as often thoroughly with soap and water or with hand sanitizer.
    • Avoid sharing household items e.g. dishes, drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, towels, bedding, or other items with other people at home.
    • Wear a surgical mask / multiple layered well fitting cloth mask at all the time covering the mouth as well as the nose.
    • Disposable Masks used by patients / caregivers/ close contacts during home care should be disinfected using sodium hypochlorite solution (1%) and then disposed of.
    • Used cloth masks should be considered as potentially infected and should be handled with gloved hands by the caregiver OR directly dipped into a detergent solution by the patient himself / herself and washed separately and dried in sunlight.
    • If symptoms appear (cough/fever/difficulty in breathing), he/she should immediately inform their treating doctor.
  6. Take Gelsemium 200 ( Homeopathy medicine ) every 5th day and Arsenic alba. 30 once a month for 3 consecutive days.
ALL TESTING/CASES SHOULD TAKE STANDARD TREATMENT UNDER GUIDANCE OF THEIR TREATING DOCTOR AND MOVE INTO ISOLATION
Instructions for the family members of persons being home quarantined
  • Only an assigned family member should be tasked with taking care of the such person.
  • Avoid shaking the soiled linen.
  • Use disposable gloves when cleaning the surfaces or handling soiled linen.
  • Wash hands after removing gloves.
  • Visitors should not be allowed.
  • In case the person being quarantined becomes symptomatic, all his close contacts will be home quarantined (for 14 days) and followed up for further 14days or till the report of such case turns out negative on lab testing.
Environmental sanitation
  1. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the quarantined person’s room (e.g. bed frames, tables etc.) daily with 1%Sodium Hypochlorite Solution and surface shining / dispersal of ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT with due precautions ( HYBRID SANITIZATION ).
  2. Clean and disinfect toilet surfaces daily with regular household bleach solution/phenolic disinfectants.
  3. Clean the clothes and other linen used by the person separately using common household detergent and dry.
